Changes since 1.1.17.

New

Pulp now knows what your computer can actually run. Browse Manage Models and every model is marked for your machine — fine, tight, or too large to run at all. Models that physically cannot run are blocked rather than offered, so you don’t spend twenty minutes downloading something that will never load. Where a model is a stretch rather than impossible, Pulp says so plainly and lets you decide.
A memory meter while you work. See how much memory a loaded model is actually using, and unload it with one click to get that memory back — without restarting Pulp.
A heads-up before a big model bogs things down. If a model fits your computer but not what’s free at that moment, Pulp asks first and tells you how much memory it needs versus how much is available. You can close some apps and continue, or cancel. If you’d like, it will name the applications using the most memory — but only if you ask; it never lists them on its own.
Qwen 3.8 (27B) is now in the catalog — a large, high-capability model for powerful machines. It’s marked accordingly, and noticeably slower on laptop-class hardware.

Clearer, plainer language about memory throughout. When a model won’t fit, Pulp tells you what it needs and what your machine has, in one consistent sentence rather than several different ones.
Manage Models shows the real catalog. A display problem that could leave the model list stale or incomplete is fixed.
Better web search results. Searches started from your question now return more relevant sources.
Steadier behaviour under memory pressure, including models being loaded and unloaded while you work, and downloads still in progress.

Fixed

Pulp now tells you when something goes wrong. Previously a failed reply could simply stop, with no explanation shown. Errors are now displayed in the conversation.
Reopening Pulp starts it properly. After the first run, reopening the app now brings your local service back up instead of waiting indefinitely for it.
Assorted reliability fixes to updating, restarting, and installation.

Availability: macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows — available now, and existing installations will offer the update automatically. The web/LAN client for connecting other devices is unchanged.
